Sign this petition to call on the Minister of National Revenue, Marie-Claude Bibeau, to immediately:
REVOKE the charitable status of the Mizrachi Organization of Canada;
INVESTIGATE and subsequently revoke the charitable status of all Canadian charities providing funds to Israeli settlement organizations and/or support to the Israeli military;
INSTITUTE measures to prevent other organizations from engaging in such activities in the future.
Between 2018 and 2022, Canadians donated roughly $53.9 billion to registered charities, over a billion of which has gone to recipients based in Israel. A network of Canadian charities are funneling funds to some of the most violent, genocidal organizations in Israel
Lifeline for Palestine is an emergency initiative to mobilize civil society for a game-changing opportunity to actually end the genocide in Palestine now. We’re calling on UN representatives in all nations, which already support Palestine by a supermajority, to hold the line for Palestine in an upcoming fall vote to enact concrete measures to compel Israel’s compliance with the International Court of Justice. This includes a UN protection force for food distribution and civilian protection.
Holding this vote within the long-standing Uniting for Peace process allows the General Assembly to bypass the undemocratic Security Council and US veto that invariably blocks the protection of Palestinian rights.

A detailed formal complaint was submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency to investigate whether United Israel Appeal of Canada (UIA) has violated the rules for registered charities. Since 1991 UIA has raised over $1.5 billion. The complaint details the organization’s opaque finances and questions whether UIA is violating CRA rules by acting as a conduit to send funds to unidentified entities overseas. The complaint also details UIA funding for groups assisting the Israeli military and illegal settlements, which is contrary to CRA regulations.
